This course introduces theories and methods of design of flexible and rigid pavements, focusing on highway pavement analysis models for stress and strain, design input characteristics including traffic, environment, and materials, common structural design procedures for flexible and rigid pavements, and new developments in design and other pavement technologies such as pavement management.
