About

Research Mission

Our Mission is to build heterogeneous computing systems to achieve exascale performance by cross-layer algorithms, architecture, interconnect fabric, packaging optimizations for datacenter and edge applications.

PI's Story

"Life does not follow a linear trajectory. I was fascinated by VLSI design taught to me in my undergraduate degree. That led me to do Masters in VLSI and Embedded Systems, where I was introduced to research. I went to industry to gain design expertise, then came back to academia to follow my passion for cutting-edge research and knowledge. Every step shaped me to become the professor I am today, and I intend to share with my students the joy of exploring the unknown." - Dr. Gaurav Narang

Lab's Logo

HEXA Lab logo

Our lab logo is inspired by the H-tree in VLSI design. The H-tree is a recursive, symmetric clock-distribution network that gives every sink the same wire length from the root.
