Dr. Ram Kumar

Dr Ram Kumar graduated with a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida in December, 2019.  Ram is currently a Staff Scientist in the Mineral & Molecular Separations & Analysis Department at Idaho National Laboratory (INL).  He has over a decade of experience in thermal‑hydrological‑chemical modeling, with research spanning geologic hydrogen production, reservoir thermal energy storage, enhanced geothermal systems, geological carbon sequestration, lithium in geothermal brines, and recovery of critical minerals and rare earth elements.  Prior to joining INL, he was a post-doctoral researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), where he focused on advanced computational geochemistry and coupled geochemical–transport modeling for subsurface energy and critical mineral applications.
